John's Notes:
This home on Regalwoods used to be a very unusual design and one of the few houses that feature a mansard roof in Northcrest. In fact the mansard roof becomes the dominating feature - I tended to call this home the "roof house" due to the uniqueness of the construction - the roof extended to within a foot of the ground creating angled walls in the front and back. The actual roofing material was not extended, however the look of the roof (color and texture) was emulated in the horizontal siding, with reverse dormer cut-outs (they set inward rather than outward) to frame the windows and doors. A nice MCM door and sphere light completed the picture - this was truly one of the most unique homes in the neighborhood. Unfortunately one of the later owners decided to remove the slanted walls and make it much more like the other board and batten walled Northcrest homes, so while it's still interesting, it has lost much of it's uniqueness.
