Northcrest Swim and Tennis Club

Northcrest Swim & Tennis Sign from Bowling Green Way
Northcrest is somewhat unusual in that it has a community pool and recreation area that contains tennis courts. The land is an area that creates a flood plain between several streets, located between Regalwoods to the west, Summitridge Dr to the east and Bowling Green Way to the south, with access and parking from the latter via Ed Edwards Way (where the sign is located).

The grounds were gifted to the neighborhood by the builders, P&H Realty Company, Inc. with funds provided by the initial membership for the build-out of the building and pool. The pool, in keeping with the times, is trapezoidal in shape and a real survivor of the 60's.

NORTHCREST families have more fun...

in their private pool, park and recreation center

Northcrest's liveliest contribution to your family's fun and relaxation is its private community park... a frolicsome oasis of two swimming pools and recreation area, set in seven restful, tree-shaded acres of park grounds.
Planned sections are set aside for year-round family sports-a proposed tennis court; basketball, badminton, volleyball and horseshoe areas; and a proposed club- house for parties, dances and community activities.
And it's so easy to enjoy your favorite, healthful sports. A few minutes' stroll from any Northcrest home, and you're in the park... no busy, dangerous streets for children to cross, no tedious car-pooling for parents.   Your children play and swim in safety, either in the spacious, full-size pool or the toddler pool - within call- ing distance from home, with playmates you know. Active play and sports opportunities encourage good health, while the recreation area becomes the hub of widening circles of friendships and activities among all Northcrest residents.
All the advantages of a city park but none of the crowding or inconveniences are here for Northcrest families who are members of Northcrest Swim Club, Inc.
Restricted to Northcrest residents only, the Club provides a recreation area which enhances property values, yet maintains moderate membership fees and dues. Family membership is $250; yearly dues are a maximum of $50.
The park's acreage has been donated to the Club by Northcrest's developers... another plus value in Northcrest's plan to provide the perfect, well-rounded community for families who enjoy "the good life."
