Alterations with no Adverse Effect
- Side additions that do not obscure the original size and architecture of the house, or change its proportions, or compromise its ability to make a contribution to the historic character and appearance of the neighborhood, or to the street scene on which it is located
- New exterior materials that do not compromise the overall form, proportions, and detailing of the historic house that is similar to the original in texture and color
- Carports and garages that are constructed so that the form of the original garage or carport is still visible from the front facing facade
Four Categories of Non-Contributing Properties
- Front addition which alters street facing facade
- Significant alterations to the garage or carport
- Extensive alterations to the roofline
- Buildings built after the district’s period of significance (1959-1972)
