DOCOMOMO US, Georgia Chapter, Inc. is a not-for-profit society promoting research, scholarship, and education concerning the Modern Movement, and the conservation of the buildings, landscape, and built environment of the Modern Movement.

LIVING MODERN: Atlanta's Modern Housing. Tour and Panel Discussion
Discover Atlanta's Modern heritage with a tour of homes and a panel discussion, including owners, architects, and realtors who live in and design Modern residences.

Where:
Panel discussion tentatively moderated by David Green, AIA (Lord, Aeck & Sargent). Tentative panelists include Cecil Alexander, FAIA; Theodore Pound, and other TBD.
The tour includes a range of Modern homes (tentative), in a variety of Atlanta neighborhoods:
- Colony House/Hanover House (3 Units), Jova/Daniels/Busby, 1975
- Briar Hills Condominiums, 1947
- Northcrest Subdivision (3 Homes), 1950-1960's
- Alexander (Pound) Residence, 1959
Why:
The Tour of Homes showcases the range of Modern domestic structures throughout the city of Atlanta spanning the years from 1947 through the mid 1970's. DOCOMOMO Georgia seeks to educate the public about the Modern Movement in Georgia, demonstrating the continued viability of these historic homes.
